My 30th Birthday

Well....I turned the big 3-0! Like Jay-Z said in his song...30 is the new 20. For my birthday, Atom had a fun-filled day planned for me. It was all a surprise and he raised the bar pretty high. He had me wake up and take a shower and then drove me to Elizabeth Arden's Red Door Spa. I had a hint that maybe I was going to get a massage...but I got an entire day of pampering. It started off with a facial (my first one ever) and that was probably the best, then a massage, then manicure, then pedicure and lastly a complimentary application of make-up. I felt like a million bucks when I walked out of there! We then ate some lunch and then got ready for the second half of my birthday surprise. We hopped in the Z and headed down 66 towards the Virginia country-side. We were going for a hot air balloon ride! I'm not a fan of heights or flying, but I had mentioned that it was something I'd like to try. So Adam went online and booked us a reservation for my birthday. It was an amazing experience! After all that, it was easy to forget that I was turning 30!
