Thanks for Sharing

Since I've announced my pregnancy, I've gotten loads of unsolicited advice from friends, family and complete strangers. I have also received a few anecdotes on my desk at work. The first thing I received was a National Geographic article showing a mother seal giving birth. It is nice to see that even for other mammals, mothers have a great big smile after that horrendous ordeal. I didn't even know seals could smile. So if a mama seal can smile after giving birth, the bench mark has been set for me. However, I don't think I'm looking forward to having a camera in my face on that wonderful day.

My second little anecdote was a cartoon from a daily calendar. It took me a few minutes to get it, but once I did I cracked up. This is funny on so many levels for me. 1.) I am married to a "boob" man. So the fact that this rooster is aroused by a chicken bjorn that looks like boobs is hilarious. 2.) My boobs have gotten so big at this point that I could actually use a baby bjorn to carry them around all day.

I don't mind finding these things on my desk. It's the random horror stories people keep telling me. I really don't need to hear about babies dying after birth and 12 pound babies that came out naturally.
