Let them eat cake...er..I mean diapers?

I found online instructions for building a diaper cake months ago. I have been holding out for the opportunity to make one, and my time finally arrived. With the numerous pregnancies at my old workplace, I knew the day would come eventually. A friend's baby shower is this Sunday so I ran to the store to pick up some diapers, rubber bands, champagne and ribbon. That's right, CHAMPAGNE! Because new parents do need a good supply of diapers, but they need a better supply of booze. This is not the typical goo-goo, ga-ga diaper cake loaded with tons of cutesy things. Mine looks more like a 3-layer wedding cake. I used orange ribbon since that is the color of the nursery. I tried to find some cute turtle things to continue the nursery theme, but the stores I went to were lacking in the turtle department. I hope she enjoys it regardless. I did not do the tissue paper and white ribbon covering, because I found that the Pampers Swaddler diapers are mostly white and the part that has Sesame Street characters can be hidden. I like the way mine turned out. You can tell it is made of diapers, which I think is the point of a diaper cake.
