My dog Solace is 11 years old today! He's still a young pup at heart. I got him a birthday cookie made just for doggies. I decided to give it a taste to see what this thing was all about. It tasted like a ginger snap with icing. Pretty darn good, which explains why it was scarfed down in 2 seconds. Solace is a very good doggie and he deserves cookies every day of the year, but his sensitive tummy only allows him special occasions. Happy birthday my sweet pup.

Coming down from an exciting week
Unfortunately I had to work on Inauguration Day (go figure), but that did not stop me or my co-workers from watching history be made! (Sorry Jeffrey - Don't be bitter) I have a close friend who works for BET and the lucky bastard got to attend the Inauguration as well as the BET Inauguration Ball. It was amazing to see millions of people crowded on the mall to see Obama get sworn in. It was an exciting time to live in DC. Had the temperatures been reasonable and if I was not slightly claustrophobic I may have gone down to take part. I cannot deal with large crowds anymore, so I decided on watching it on TV. I do hope that I get a chance to meet our new President before we migrate back to Texas. This is the first President I actually want to meet and shake hands with, and possibly hand over our baby to kiss :)
